The call for proposals Karayib Klima for Creole-speaking Caribbean civil society organisations ended on december 13th 2020. We would like to thank civil society organisations that submitted us their climate resilience projects.

The received projects are under examination. In early February, once the selection committee meeting has been held, the leaders of the coalitions selected for the Karayib Klima grants will be contacted to proceed with the contracting part and payment of funds. Type of projects that can be funded

Submitted projects have to implement the resilience part of the Paris Agreement (2015) and propose a range of activities contributing to climate change adaptation for territories and populations.

Specifically targeted are activity projects regarding  i) education, health or social sectors, ii) sustainable economic development and  iii)  ecosystems and biodiversity. Those activities can be developed in two distincts streams:

Eligible geografic areas

Countries and eligible territories are Haiti, Grenada, Saint Lucia, Dominica, Guadeloupe, Martinique and Saint Martin.

Karayib Klima's grant amount

Karayib Klima’s contribution for the call of proposals will range between 5.000 EUR and 40.000 EUR per submitted project, subject to a limit of one project per coalition for each stream.
